Vanhoozer on the Inerrancy of Scripture

I was always bummed that I did not get to take a class under the theologian Kevin Vanhoozer during my time at Wheaton.  His writings have really encouraged me and help me understand how to think biblically and theologically about the Bible as God’s revelation of Himself.  Today, I found a recent article of his about the doctrine of the inerrancy of Scripture.  To claim that you believe that the Bible is ‘inerrant’ is to argue that you believe that the Bible is without error in all that it claims. In this article, Kevin Vanhoozer succinctly, and with much nuance and articulation, explains the doctrine of inerrancy, and why it not the manufacture of modern theologians–it is the result of believing what the Bible has to say about itself.
