This paper was written for a Christology class at Wheaton College. In it, I argue that 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 has much to contribute to our understanding of Paul’s Christology. This passage shows Jesus as a participant in the Divine prerogatives, a recipient of worship via prayer, and as one who partakes in the Divine identity of YHWH.
